The Vice-Chancellor of Babcock University, Prof. Afolarin Ojewole, has congratulated Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Principal Partner of Wole Olanipekun & Co., on his global recognition in the prestigious Chambers and Partners Global 2026 rankings as a Senior Statesman in Dispute Resolution.

Ojewole said the honour reaffirms Olanipekun’s towering influence and enduring legacy in the legal profession, noting that the recognition underscores his decades-long contributions to jurisprudence, advocacy and dispute resolution both within Nigeria and internationally.

According to the vice-chancellor, “Olanipekun’s career has been defined by excellence, integrity and an unwavering commitment to justice.”

Beyond the courtroom, Ojewole highlighted the senior advocate’s philanthropic impact, recalling that Olanipekun served as the commencement speaker at the university’s 2025 convocation ceremony, where he was also conferred an honorary doctorate.

He added that Olanipekun demonstrated his commitment to education and the advancement of legal scholarship by donating a Law auditorium to the institution, describing the facility as a landmark project designed to inspire future generations of lawyers.

“Chief  Wole Olanipekun, SAN, has consistently exemplified the highest ideals of scholarship, leadership and service. His recognition as a senior statesman in dispute resolution by Chambers & Partners Global is a testament to his enduring impact on the legal profession and society at large.

“At Babcock University, we remain deeply grateful for his generosity, vision and commitment to nurturing future leaders through his invaluable contributions, including the Law auditorium he gifted to our institution. We celebrate this honour with him and wish him continued success,” Ojewole said
