Jos Attack: Senator Natasha demands action from Defence Minister,

    By John Alechenu, Abuja

ABUJA — Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) has called on the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, to take immediate and decisive action following the March 27 attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos, which claimed over 30 lives, mostly Christian worshippers.

In a statement shared via her official social media channels, the senator condemned the killings as “another brutal reminder that Nigerians remain unprotected,” expressing disappointment at the gap between assurances given during Musa’s Senate screening and the ongoing security failures.

“Dear General Christopher Musa, Angwan Rukuba is another brutal reminder that Nigerians remain unprotected. During your screening at the Senate chambers, your words were filled with promises, and I allowed myself a sigh of relief,” she wrote.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan warned, “Well, prove now you are different and secure lives, or step aside. Enough of condolences. Enough of excuses. Nigerians want action, protection, and results!”

Her remarks reflect growing frustration among citizens over recurring attacks in vulnerable communities and intensify calls for a comprehensive overhaul of Nigeria’s security framework.

Residents of Angwan Rukuba and nearby areas continue to mourn the victims, demanding both justice for the slain and measures to prevent future attacks.

The incident underscores ongoing concerns about the government’s ability to safeguard lives and property in regions plagued by insecurity.
