JAMB disowns website requesting payment from candidates who missed 2025 UTME, ,

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned the public against a fake website demanding payment from candidates who missed the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the fraudulent website operates under the name “Copyrightwriter Personal J Rescheduling Flw” and asks candidates to pay N15,700 into account number 8520641017 at Sterling Bank for supposed rescheduling of the missed UTME.

JAMB made it clear that this is a scam and that the people behind it are not connected to the Board in any way.

Dr. Benjamin also urged Sterling Bank to take action against the fake account and said the matter has been reported to security agencies.

He stressed that JAMB does not reschedule exams for candidates who miss them due to personal reasons. However, those whose biometric verification fails during registration will be investigated and, if found eligible, will be rescheduled to take the exam free of charge.

He advised all candidates to be cautious, saying that JAMB does not charge any additional fees after registration.
