Behind the glitz and viral videos, content creation is a lot harder than it seems—at least according to popular social media personality Amadou Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis.

Speaking at The Creative Blueprint masterclass, convened by Funke Akindele on Thursday, March 19, Jarvis opened up about the challenges of building a loyal online audience.

“Creating content is not easy. The misconception people have is that creating content is easy—just pick up your phone, make a video, and post. That is not what content creation actually is,” she explained. “Real content creation requires effort and thought. At first, when I started out, I came in as a streamer on TikTok. I was just a normal person who came online and talked. In the beginning, it was cool and engaging, but my audience wasn’t sticking with me.”

Jarvis revealed that her breakthrough came when she decided to experiment with AI-themed content.

“So I asked myself, what is that one thing I can do to keep people glued to me, wanting to watch me, see me, and be entertained by me? That was how the AI robotic content came about. To my greatest surprise, I had people watching and commenting. It was really exciting to see my audience engage with something new.”
