    LUCK or STRATEGY?

    Attracting Parents to Your School

I hear the same stories regularly.

    That school is just lucky

    That school “stole” our students

“The teacher left with almost 20 percent of our students”

The question on my mind this morning is “ LUCK OR STRATEGY?”

Why are some schools and organisations thriving whilst others are struggling? Of course, these are challenging times for every business globally, but school business operators may need to depend more on strategy than luck in the years ahead.

Let us look at two schools. Same area, similar facilities, different results.

School A is waiting for luck. They hope parents “just find them.” Once in a while, it works.

School B uses a strategy. They tell stories on social media. They host intentional Open Days.

They train their front desk staff to engage, not just respond. They follow up. They stay visible.

    Guess which school is growing?

Parents don’t stumble into great schools anymore. They choose based on what they see, feel, and experience.

If your school is not telling its story, following up with inquiries, showing impact online…then you’re depending on luck. But the truth is: Luck is not a growth plan. Strategy is.

So ask yourself, are we waiting for luck, or working a strategy?
