ScholarGPS Honours Nigerian AI Expert Among 0.05% of 30m Scholars Worldwide, , <\/p>\n

Oluchi Chibuzor\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nIn recognition of his exceptional productivity, noteworthy impact and quality of scholarly work, ScholarGPS has recognised Nigerian artificial intelligence expert Prof. Celestine Iwendi among the top 0.05 per cent of over 30 million scholars worldwide.<\/p>\n
The award was based on their scholarly productivity, impact, and the quality of research output over the past five years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a statement, the\u00a0 President and CEO of ScholarGPS, Amir Faghri, said that the award was in recognition of his Scholarly prowess in 2024.<\/p>\n
\u201cCelestine Iwendi is honoured as a 2024 Highly Ranked Scholar, prior five years in all fields of scholarly endeavour as conferred by ScholarGPS in recognition of exceptional productivity, noteworthy impact and quality of scholarly work in the top 0.05 per cent of 30 million scholars worldwide,\u201d said Faghri.<\/p>\n
Reacting to the honour, Iwendi said that the recognition is a personal milestone and a powerful testament to the impact of collaboration, consistency, and purpose-driven research.<\/p>\n
Iwendi said, \u201cTo be counted among the world\u2019s most productive and influential researchers across all disciplines is both humbling and deeply motivating. Over the past five years, my work has spanned across AI, cybersecurity, wireless sensor networks, data science, and the Internet of Things\u2014with a strong commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing honoured in all fields of scholarly endeavour places recipients among an elite group of academics who have made exceptional contributions across multiple disciplines.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that whether in mentoring students, collaborating with international scholars, or developing applied research that addresses real-world challenges, \u201cmy aim has always been to ensure that knowledge doesn\u2019t sit on a shelf \u2013 it moves people, powers change, and solves problems.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Iwendi advised young scholars to be dedicated to their work. He described the award as a renewed call to action, as there is still much more to explore, innovate and share.\u00a0<\/p>\n
