{"id":15326,"date":"2025-11-19T18:22:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T18:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edumarkng.com\/news\/education-officers-charged-to-implement-digital-attendance-in-ogun-schools\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T18:22:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T18:22:15","slug":"education-officers-charged-to-implement-digital-attendance-in-ogun-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edumarkng.com\/news\/education-officers-charged-to-implement-digital-attendance-in-ogun-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Education officers charged to implement digital attendance in Ogun schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align:center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailypost.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/school-teacher.jpg\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"Education officers charged to implement digital attendance in Ogun schools\" title=\"Education officers charged to implement digital attendance in Ogun schools\" \/><\/div><p>Education officers charged to implement digital attendance in Ogun schools, <!-- no image -->,  <\/p>\n<p>The Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, and the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, have called on Education Management Information System, EMIS officers to fully adopt the newly introduced digital monitoring system designed to track learners\u2019 attendance across public basic schools in the State.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of SUBEB, Olalekan Ifede, made the call during a 3-day capacity-building workshop on the Basic Education Management Information System (BAMIS) application, held at SUBEB Conference Room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST reports that the training, supported by World Bank under the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) programme, was jointly organised by SUBEB and UBEC.<\/p>\n<p>Ifede stated the workshop would further strengthen the State\u2019s EMIS operations and align them with the Digital Platform for Education Revitalisation (DIPER), in line with Governor Dapo Abiodun\u2019s Building Our Future Together agenda.<\/p>\n<p>He urged participants to cascade the knowledge gained to teachers and school managers to ensure effective, real-time monitoring of learners\u2019 attendance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am particularly grateful that we have begun implementing the BESDA projects in the State despite initial delays. Since assuming office, I have worked to resume pending training and programmes, including BESDA.
