He hasn\u2019t announced a bid for 2027, yet rivals or would-be rivals already seem rattled.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some politicians fight for relevance- The \u201cObarisi\u201d simply exists, and the landscape shifts. While he is yet to make his intention known, his name is already winning.<\/p>\n<p>For would-be contenders, the road to 2027 is looking less like a highway and more like an obstacle course. Senator Ovie Omo-Agege\u2019s track record and achievements while in office make him an immovable force.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ambitions are being quietly re-evaluated. Running for office is one thing; running against a force of nature is another.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the chorus of some politicians banking on noise, Senator Omo-Agege has let his work do the talking. His imprint, the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, Nigerian Defense Space School, Orogun, the Federal University of Medical &amp; Health Sciences, Kwale, the Oil and Gas Industrial Park, Sanubi-Eku, the Healthcare Centres, the ICT Centres, the Secondary and Primary School Classroom Blocks he built, the Landing Bays, the massive investment in the power sector (installation of transformers and solar streetlights) empowerment programmes-has turned Delta Central and Delta State into his political stronghold. His credibility isn\u2019t borrowed; it\u2019s built brick by brick.<\/p>\n<p>His track record and achievements has done more than bolster his r\u00e9sum\u00e9-it has widened his reach. While others court endorsements, he is already the name voters mention unprovoked. He is actually the endorsement. The real question isn\u2019t if he can run. It\u2019s whether anyone can successfully run against him.<\/p>\n<p>The unease isn\u2019t paranoia; it\u2019s recognition of reality. Delta politics is not for the faint-hearted, and Omo-Agege has never been that. He operates at the intersection of grassroots loyalty and national influence-a combination few can match and even fewer can challenge.<\/p>\n<p>For now, he plays it cool, watching while others react.
