{"id":20332,"date":"2026-08-14T08:18:51","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T08:18:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edumarkng.com\/news\/osun-election-frsc-deploys-2500-personnel-50-vehicles-for-traffic-management\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T08:18:51","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T08:18:51","slug":"osun-election-frsc-deploys-2500-personnel-50-vehicles-for-traffic-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edumarkng.com\/news\/osun-election-frsc-deploys-2500-personnel-50-vehicles-for-traffic-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Osun Election: FRSC Deploys 2,500 Personnel, 50 Vehicles for Traffic Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align:center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.vanguardngr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/FRSC.webp\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"Osun Election: FRSC Deploys 2,500 Personnel, 50 Vehicles for Traffic Management\" title=\"Osun Election: FRSC Deploys 2,500 Personnel, 50 Vehicles for Traffic Management\" \/><\/div><p>Osun Election: FRSC Deploys 2,500 Personnel, 50 Vehicles for Traffic Management, <\/p>\n<p>By Favour Ulebor, Abuja<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has deployed 2,500 personnel and 50 operational vehicles, including seven heavy-duty tow trucks and six ambulances, to ensure effective traffic management and emergency response during the Osun State governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In a press statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, on Friday, the FRSC said the deployment would cover the three senatorial districts and all operational areas of the state to ensure seamless traffic flow, prompt emergency response and compliance with the restriction of movement order during the election.<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted that the deployment comprises 2,300 personnel from the Osun Sector Command, supported by 50 personnel each from the Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo and Ogun Sector Commands.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Corps, operational and rescue assets have been strategically positioned across the state to guarantee safe and orderly movement for election officials, accredited observers, security personnel and other road users throughout the electoral process.<\/p>\n<p>FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, said the deployment underscores the Corps\u2019 commitment to supporting a peaceful, safe and credible election within its statutory responsibility of road safety and traffic management.<\/p>\n<p>He said personnel would carry out their duties with professionalism, neutrality, discipline and respect for human rights while working closely with the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security, ICCES, and other relevant agencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur mandate is clear: to ensure that the roads remain safe, orderly and accessible within the framework of the electoral security arrangements. We will be firm, professional and impartial in the discharge of our responsibilities,\u201d Mohammed said.<\/p>\n<p>The statement added that the Corps would conduct a Train-the-Trainer Workshop for personnel involved in election duties.
